The Play
After 10 years since her last theatrical performance, Tori Dixon-Whittle is returning to the stage in a self-written, one-woman play entitled Songs for Sylvie.
Songs for Sylvie is a poetic journey through the past, present and future of one woman, Sylvie. Sylvie explores questions of obligation, passion, and love in regard to her life and those of her family.
Sylvie, played by Tori Dixon-Whittle, leads the audience on a complex journey to determine directions that she must take in life that will have the ultimate meaning for her and those close to her. It is through the stories from her own family history that the way becomes clear.
Songs for Sylvie was performed in Melbourne to rave reviews and Tori now takes Songs for Sylvie to Sydney on Thursday 27th September - 2nd October 2010.
